Another point concerns the necessary information that must be placed on the medication packaging in a clearly recognizable manner. The imprint must be clearly readable even after a long period of time and must not smudge or fade. Important details must also be embossed as tactile Braille.

Here is an overview of the most important specifications:

  • All necessary information must be printed in comprehensible language as well as permanently and in easily readable letters. In addition to the name of the drug, this includes the name and address of the pharmaceutical company, the content by weight, nominal volume or number of pieces, the type and strength of the active ingredient, the expiration date as well as the dosage form and the method of administration.
 
  • The medication packaging must be marked with the registration number, batch number and individual serial number.
 
  • In addition, the information must be retrievable via a printed scannable code.

For your medication labels you have the choice between three different materials:

  • Matte label paper
  • Textured paper
  • White PP film

 

All three are recyclable and vegan. The PP film in particular is especially hard-wearing and suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. Even moisture can not harm the plastic label - so the print remains readable for a long time.
