Spice labels directly FROM THE MANUFACTURER
Do you produce high-quality spices for the food retail sector? We supply the premium labels to go with them. If you’ve found your way here as a home cook: unfortunately, we don’t supply retail labels for you to label your own pepper, salt and flour. But we’re happy to supply small businesses with manageable print runs: after all, herbs and spices are perishable goods that are often only in demand seasonally. In other words, once the Christmas market is over, the rush for cinnamon and cloves dies down too. Packaging Warehouse stands for bespoke, tailor-made solutions, so anything is possible – white, opaque, transparent, rectangular, round, oval or free-form. Of course, we also have tamper-proof spice labels in seal form for you. Spice labels that connect containers and lids and show that curry and turmeric are fresh and untouched. Our range caters to every type of spice packaging, whether it’s a round spice label with a logo on the lid of a spice jar or spice mixes in bags and pouches in XL format.

The perfect spice label is perfectly legible – this is ensured by high-quality, high-contrast printing and crisp, clear text in a font size that isn’t too small. Curvy, ornate fonts on spice labels may give the impression of a rustic style, but they are rarely easy to read. We offer blank labels that can be printed on later, as well as solutions for both machine and manual labelling. Want to design your own labels for spices and herbs? At Packaging Warehouse, you can upload your own product design, adapt it to a wide range of label sizes, and even have existing spice labels professionally redesigned. State-of-the-art digital or flexo printing on premium materials brings your project to life cost-effectively. Take transparent spice labels on glass, for instance, which reveal the aromatic contents: attractively labelled, they gleam appetisingly on supermarket shelves and in the kitchen. These are the sort of products people are happy to pick up. Subtle rather than obtrusive, good label design takes a back seat to the product. Clear the stage for green Provençal herbs, sweet vanilla, fiery red chilli flakes! You decide what suits your brand best, in harmony with the colour of the cap and lid. Perhaps it’s arches, rounded corners, cut-outs? Or special, delicate details? Packaging Warehouse gives you complete creative freedom when it comes to shape, choice of material and finishing touches such as embossed lettering or embellishments in gold, silver and bronze.
Spice labels have to be tough: they’re constantly being handled by damp or greasy fingers! Fortunately, foil labels for spices are smudge-proof. But even self-adhesive spice labels can be wiped clean with a damp cloth without the label peeling off or the text becoming smudged. The right materials for spice labels are food-safe and durable. They neither fade nor wear away immediately. A final finish using hot foil stamping or a protective varnish also contributes to durability – for a high-quality look and feel that, incidentally, protects your label perfectly. Labels made from adhesive paper and adhesive film are splash- and water-resistant. Both adhesive film and adhesive paper are available in self-adhesive versions. They await use on release paper or a backing. Adhesive films – in white, opaque or transparent, tear-resistant, UV-resistant and waterproof labels – are ideal for use on curved surfaces. And matt or glossy adhesive paper is a particularly sustainable material that you can even write on and stamp. Are there such things as renewable labels? At Packaging Warehouse, they certainly do. Spice labels made from recycled paper, recycled film or grass paper demonstrate environmental awareness. Would you like to experience potential label materials for yourself, both visually and to the touch? Then we recommend our sample box – containing a selection of high-quality printed roll labels.

But doesn’t the best-before date change all the time? You don’t need to have spice labels reprinted every time to keep them up to date. You can still print variable information by ensuring your template layout includes space for it. We’d be happy to advise you!
