What are sealing labels?

Sealing labels are mainly there for sealing containers especially made of glass and other objects. The labels have various applications, but they are especially designed to protect against tampering, for example, food, medical devices and electronic equipment. They ensure that after inspection, creation and control, no unauthorized person will counterfeit or steal your products.

Accordingly, they provide an additional security measure for your products that could be manipulated during the transport process. The end consumer can also be sure that his goods are unused and undamaged. As synonyms are also often used warranty seal or closure labels. Seal labels consist of three parts - the main label, the bridge and the seal. If the bridge remains intact, the packaging has not been opened. What material is suitable for sealing labels?

Paper is often used for sealing labels because it is easier to tear. Paper is also used several times in the food trade. However, seal labels can also be made from other materials, such as plastic. At packaging warehouse, you have the option to choose between different materials:

Among other things, seal labels should adhere strongly but still be removable after use so that they can be removed without residue, especially from labels for jars and bottles. Suitable for this purpose is, for example, our adhesive paper (matt) with a removable adhesive. Glasses and bottles are reused particularly often, so it is advisable to use the removable adhesive here. Are you looking for a more robust material that is durable and can withstand external environmental influences such as moisture and UV radiation? Then we recommend our PP or PE film with a permanent adhesive. We can also make a perforation for your seal labels, so that they can be easily opened by your customers, even if they are made of plastic. We are happy to print your individual seal labels with the modern digital or flexographic printing process.

Where are seal labels used?

Food labels are used in the retail trade as a guarantee seal, for example for honey jars. Also at packaging warehouse you have the possibility to get special honey labels for your jars. In food labeling, a number of regulations must be observed in order for food labels to be approved. Hygiene plays a particularly important role. This makes seal labels even more practical, as they serve as a guarantee for the integrity of packaging. If a product has already been opened, this is directly visible through the seal label. 

Seal labels are also used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. Here, they also ensure hygienic standards so that consumers can be sure that their product is not contaminated. In some cases, this prevents skin irritations and infections.

Seal labels can also be used for luxury goods. Luxury goods include jewelry or perfume, for example. Here, the labels are used to ensure that the expensive products have not been tampered with or manipulated in advance - a certain quality is to be guaranteed.
